The next day started with 53 miles on Interstate 80. At first it was fine, with a smooth wide shoulder, but then there were several miles where they were repaving the left lane. They blocked it off with barrels on the left edge of the right lane, meaning that people were driving with one wheel in the middle of the right lane and one wheel in the middle of the shoulder. That didn't leave much room for me, especially when a truck passed! But I survived.
